Violet’s story begins on a busy street in Houston, Texas. She was found alone, injured, and terrified — yet somehow still wagging her tail. Rescuers discovered that she had been hit by a car and needed immediate medical attention. Her injuries were severe, and after thorough evaluation, the only way to save her life was to amputate one of her legs.

But Violet never gave up. Through every vet visit, bandage change, and sleepless night, she continued to show a fighting spirit and a heart full of love. Her resilience quickly won over everyone who met her.

Healing and Thriving

Now, Violet is thriving in my home as my foster pup. She’s learned to navigate life as a tripod with confidence and grace — running, playing, and exploring just like any other dog. Her best bud is my male dog Oreo!

Her favorite activities include:

Chasing squeaky toys & Oreo around the yard
Rolling in the grass on sunny afternoons
Cuddling up for movie nights
Flashing her signature “happy grin” at everyone she meets

Her foster family describes her as “pure joy wrapped in fur.” She’s silly, loving, and always ready to make you laugh.
